"Hope is a thing with feathers"

  1. I chose this picture because the poem "Hope is a thing with feathers reminded me of a bird since they most commonly have feathers. The poem also said how hope is perched on the soul. That sounded deep and dark so I chose a crow which is the closest thing to a Raven living around me.-K.A.B

  2. I think this is a raven, but I could be confused with a crow. Either way, both of them are commonly considered bad omens and I am simply wondering how you relate this specific bird with hope.

  5. I could see how it could represent hope, but at the same time a raven is a symbol of death. Hoping for death? Hope it flies away? interesting choice.
